Jesus' Early Years
The Preamble
The only source of information that has been used to get a picture of Jesus' early life is the Bible and that information is little enough. No one has looked further afield and yet there are two other possible sources of information, Josephus book "The Wars of the Jews" and the Dead Sea Scrolls that have been completely ignored.
The latter is looked on as an interesting puzzle but thought to contain no information relevant to Israel's past, which is a great mistake as it is a mine of information including some that is relevant to the life of Jesus.
I have drawn on all these sources to construct a picture of Jesus' life from his birth to age 30 when he began his public ministry.
